Candidate Profile	Plan field trips at regular intervals to collect and update data on: - Cane acreage, yields, varieties, cane prices, competing crops, input costs, cost of cultivation, production costs, irrigation facilities, rainfall data, fertilizer prices, crushing progress, mill data and any other information relevant to the sugarcane crop - Domestic sugar market, including prices, tenders, rake movements - Artisan sugar prices in regional markets, cane utilisation percentage, molasses demand, Analyze the data collected and prepare reports of findings detailing the changes in variables affecting sugarcane crop and sugar prices. Seek and provide information to help forecast the crop and price trends in the market place. Conduct research on farmers, mills, traders and other stakeholders in the sugar industry as part of the data collection process as well as to ascertain their views and elicit information on various issues. Attend trade conferences and agricultural road shows to provide information regarding latest developments in cultivation, market practices, cane varieties and irrigation techniques. Monitor industry statistics, track government policy and follow trends in trade literature. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data (such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires), or arrange to obtain existing data. The candidate would ultimately be groomed into an analyst or a commercial role depending on the candidate’s aptitude, preference and the organisations needs.
Job Profile	Good communication skills - Ability to communicate in Marathi would be an added advantage - Minimum two years of experience in agri commodities. Any experience in sugar / sugarcane would be an added advantage. - Willingness to travel
