Job Profile - The main purpose of the role is to formulate and lead efforts to efficiently and effectively procure, merchandise and other company requirements, ultimately ensuring that value for money is maximised and cost savings are generated.



-Identify most profitable suppliers and initiate business relationships.



-Negotiate with suppliers to secure best in class trading terms.



-Track and report key financial metrics (reduce expenses and improve effectiveness)



- Control spends and builds a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.



-Explore new procurement opportunities to ensure business growth.



-Create relevant procurement synergies to ensure efficiencies in procurement.



-Craft and execute winning trade promotions, with supplier collaboration.



-Day to day management of the procurement and buying team members.



-Shelf price management.



-Maintenance of the price book.



-Custodian of the approved suppliers list.



-Maintenance and updating of trading terms.



-Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services, in line with limits of authority.



-Management of the demand planning process by store by region and by category.



-Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts.



-Collaborate with key resources to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
