Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the purchase of commodities such as Soybeans, Maize, and others based on company requirements.
2. Plan and implement buying activities and farm extension services.
3. Identify key geographical regions and villages for farm extension services and farm gate buying.
4. Coordinate with farm agents, supervisors, and farmers for the deployment and management of farm machinery.
5. Ensure the collection of receivables as per the agreed terms for services provided.
6. Ensure the safety and maintenance of machinery.
7. Oversee the buying of grains during the season and offseason in targeted areas.
8. Collaborate with village traders, transporters, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Location of Posting: Tamale, Ghana or Kumasi, Ghana
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director
Desired Profile
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English
Education: Degree in Agriculture OR Postgraduate degree in Agri-Business Management
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in working closely with farmers, particularly at the village level.
Compensation
USD Salary: $800-$1200 per month (Tax-Free savings in India)
Local Salary: GHS 2500 per month
Benefits: Bachelor accommodation and a visa and work permit sponsored by the company are provided. We will provide one economy class round-trip airfare to India per year. Employees are given 30 days of annual leave.
